A Heck of a Lore : Heck and Limbo
Do you know "Heck: Where the Bad Kids Go"? It is the first book of the "Nine Circles of Heck" series, written by Dale E. Basye and illustrated by Bob Dob. It is basically a parody of Dante's Divine Comedy, (and a bit of Lost Paradise). It is an hilarious series filled with jokes and puns at every page, you could say it is a mix between a punnier "Samuel Johnson Adventures" and a more extravagant and colorful (and supernatural) "A Series of Unfortunate Events". I strongly suggest you check this book at your local library, or buy it somehow (the poor author has been struggling with finishing the series because his editor dropped out on him right before he could finish it, roughly seven books in). I hope it will be concluded one day... Anyway, in these posts, to give you a taste and an interest in these books, I will talk a bit about the lore and worldbuilding of "Heck". I won't talk about the characters, of what happens to them, of the plot of the story or of anything else. I will
